Lalu Prasad, Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Lalu brings over 20 years of extensive leadership experience in Locomotive Maintenance and Operations. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with all Class 1 Railroads, demonstrating a deep commitment to industry excellence. Notably, Lalu led the BNSF maintenance operations for GE/Wabtec, overseeing the support of 5,000 locomotives. His expertise extends globally, having played a pivotal role in establishing and managing international service and maintenance operations in multiple countries.
Lalu holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the College of Engineering, Trivandrum in India, a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Penn State, and an Executive MBA from the Chicago Booth School of Business.
Outside of his professional achievements, Lalu is a devoted family man, sharing his life with his wife, Sunitha, and their two sons, Hari and Krishna. He is also an avid reader and has a passion for music, cars, and motorcycles.
