LVPS

LVPS (Low Voltage Power Supply)

The LVPS is designed to provide two isolated power supplies (74 VDC and 27 VDC) from the AC output provided by a single genset. The power conversion takes place in two stages. First, the AC input will be rectified and switched through a high frequency IGBT H-bridge to provide a fixed square wave to the LVPS isolation step down transformer. The transformer provides electrical isolation of the outputs from the AC source. Each output of this transformer is regulated by using a chopper style DC/DC converter.

The LVPS provides current limit and short circuit protection, additionally protection is provided against reverse battery connection before the output contactors are closed.

The LVPS also uses the same communication port technology as the NFORCE and NLIMIT allowing for ease of field system software upgrades and data downloads.
